Ever wonder how we make the cheat codes for the ActionReplay? Miss the 'good old days' of the Pro ActionReplay? Well, you're not alone.... Datel announced the Trainer Toolkit for the Nintendo DS a while back, but the details have continued to be shrouded in secrecy…. Well, not for much longer.
I’ve been waiting to tell people about this for a while, but I didn’t want to get people excited about it until we got a little closer to the actual release of the Trainer Toolkit. It’s no fun to get excited about something only to find out that you won’t be able to get your hands on it for several months… Well the time has come… The Trainer Toolkit is about to be released to the public, and thousands of kids will finally be able to make their very own codes for the Nintendo DS ActionReplay. This isn't some stripped down 'kiddie' version of our in-house code creation utilities, this is the REAL DEAL. The Trainer Toolkit is what we've been using to make ActionReplay codes for the Nintendo DS since before the ActionReplay DS hit store shelves! That's right... you'll be able to do everything the 'official code creators' use. (Now don't go trying to steal my job.... Believe me; I'll fight you for it.)
Trainer Toolkit FEATURES:
• Dev-board’ card which inserts into the GBA port on the DS - including a high-speed USB 2.0 port for rapid dumping of memory (a full 4Mb dump takes around 20 seconds, subsequent searches can take only a couple of seconds).
• ‘Game Trainer’ PC software CD.
• Intelligent search with all standard expressions (equal to, not equal to, greater than, less than, inside range, outside range, incremented by etc) against previous values or a defined value.
• Limit search to specified memory range.
• Multiple search types (8, 16, 32, 64bit and floating point).
• Search history window with full ‘rollback’ to any search result.
• Text search, find & replace.
• Add and save search areas.
• Whole projects can be saved and reloaded.
• Add codes to the ‘Run-list’ - a built in Action Replay engine so that you can test your codes real-time.
• ‘Poke’ values ‘one time’ to addresses in RAM.
• All code types (16, 32bit etc.) can be run simultaneously in the Run-list.
• ‘Watch locations’ window.
• Disassembly view.
• Hex view (with real time auto-refresh).
• Upload and download binaries.
• Update trainer firmware.
• Wizard based ‘Beginner Mode’ for people new to the scene.
Check out the 3 pics of the PC software I've attached below..... oh yeah, don't forget to check out the "coming soon" video I made for the Trainer Toolkit. Many of you ActionReplay DS owners out there will be surprised to know that you've had 1/2 of the Trainer Toolkit for several months now. ;) That's all I can say for now, more info, tutorial videos, etc coming very soon....
(1 more thing.. It works with Windows Vista too... i just tested it!)

I came, I saw, I entered, I earned 1,500 gamer points, I conquered, and I claimed my prizes!
I finally completed my 1st Xbox Challenge, won a bunch of cool stuff, and it was so much fun! (Eat your hearts out PS3 "fanboi's") I'm glad my gamer score was high engouh to earn me "Level 3" status, but I wish I hadn't completed the majoirty of the 'easy 1000 GS' games.
Yesterday I got lucky and realized that I hadn't even touched NHL 2k6, so I ran out and picked up a used copy just to finish up the challenge... I quickly earned 500 points by playing it and only needed 20 more to complete the challenge. Rather than keep playing a game I really didn't like, I decided to knock the last few points out with a game that's quickly becoming one of my favorites... Crackdown!
